The ghost of a youthful man wearing a confederate uniform can be distinguished very often floating       down on West Walker River before sunrise. The ghost of a tied up gentleman has sometimes been seen flying over Missouri Flat at midnight. Regardless of what, this is a hostile spirit that any reasonable person wouldn't wish to come across. The ghost of a bum is sometimes witnessed scooping out a hole in Yerington Indian Colony very late   at night. The ghost of an elderly witch has purportedly been perceived on several occasions searching through the fridge in the kitchen of a Yerington residence on a dark night. One of the folks who live here determinedly claims that this ghost gets pleasure from scaring people who have the guts to upset the quiet in Yerington. A lady's body with a rat's head may from time to time be witnessed in McConnell Canyon around midnight trying to find a map. A semi rotten human corpse was perceived eating a hotdog up on the summit of Black Mountain. The eye witness got freaked out and ran away. A woman in flames, carrying a petroleum bottle came into sight having a seat at a coffee table in a Yerington mobile home. The ghost reacted to the eye witness. The ghost of a farmer wearing a straw hat was witnessed talking into the thin air near the entrance to Bodie State Park. When the phantom was seen it vanished into the air. A young-looking girl wearing a bloody wedding dress materialized looking at people in a Yerington house through a keyhole. The ghost was ingested by the night after being made out. Some of the locals say this ghost can be the spirit of a local person who passed away here in Yerington a long time ago.
