Alto, New Mexico Ghost Tales

During the daylight hours Alto, New Mexico is identical to any other United States settlement, but this settlement is the property of the undeparted after dusk. A lot of phantom reports have been disclosed by the locals. People who have never stayed a day in this city will laugh and say it's lies, but the phantoms of Alto are out tonight looking for somebody to terrify.

These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently.

A woman with a machete in her head is occasionally seen at Alto Lake Dam at midnight shuffling orbs about.

The phantom of a young-looking Indian combatant has supposedly been witnessed on frequent occasions in Airplane Canyon before dawn calling out names.

The ghost of a tough lumberjack grasping a sizeable axe can sometimes be seen staring through flat windows in Alto at night. Anyhow, it's sure a bloodcurdling spirit that you do not want to bump into at midnight.

The creepy spirit of a Gaul was distinguished in Blazer Mill Historical Marker in the

early morning hours concealing a cadaver by a large rock. Additional reports of this spirit have been described. In any case, this is a horrible spirit that any sound person wouldn't wish to meet.

A scary skeleton showed up watching television in an Alto living room on a dark night. Many people in the vicinity have had matching occurrences with an identical spirit. It has been said that this particular phantom is that of a person who had a house here in Alto in the past.
