During the daylight hours Alto, New Mexico is identical to any other United States settlement, but this settlement is the property of the undeparted after dusk. A lot of phantom reports have been disclosed by the locals. People who have never stayed a day in this city will laugh and say it's lies, but the phantoms of Alto are out tonight looking for somebody to terrify.

The ghost of a tough lumberjack grasping a sizeable axe can sometimes be seen staring through flat windows in Alto at night. Anyhow, it's sure a bloodcurdling spirit that you do not want to bump into at midnight.

early morning hours concealing a cadaver by a large rock. Additional reports of this spirit have been described. In any case, this is a horrible spirit that any sound person wouldn't wish to meet.
A scary skeleton showed up watching television in an Alto living room on a dark night. Many people in the vicinity have had matching occurrences with an identical spirit. It has been said that this particular phantom is that of a person who had a house here in Alto in the past.
