The bright hours in Alto, New Mexico are like bright hours anywhere else, but this municipality is controlled by undeceased phantoms of days gone by. The ghost of a security guard with a bullet hole in his forehead has supposedly been distinguished on one or two instances taking in the view at Alto Lake Dam before dawn. No matter what, it indisputably is a creepy phantom that is preferably not upset.

The ghost of a man wearing soldier's attire can now and then be perceived at night scrutinizing Airplane Canyon in detail. It has been declared that this exact phantom is that of a resident who had a house here in Alto some time ago. Whatever folks say, this phantom undoubtedly is frightening; one that you would not want to encounter in the early morning hours.

A partially transparent gentleman clothed as the skipper of a oil tanker is regularly perceived in Blazer Mill Historical Marker before sunrise covering a body by a big boulder.

The ghost of a young-looking man wearing a confederate uniform has been said to have been observed on a few instances slurping regular from a gasoline pump at a refueling station in Alto.
