The living dead are in this municipality as the local residents will let you know. Some local residents declare there are no spirits, but the things that go down here in Arenas Valley during the dark hours will freak you out. These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently. A guy with no head was spotted looking for a book in a wooden boat on Fort Bayard Reservoir. The phantom was consumed by the air after being seen. Locals here who have       witnessed this ghost argue this ghost is the ghost of a traveler that was murdered while traveling through Arenas Valley some time ago. The ghost of an old prospector with a big mustache and a wooden left leg has frequently been made out in the center of Ansones Creek munching on a cracker. The ghost of a flight attendant is often distinguished   by Barrel Spring around midnight drinking apple juice.
