Chacon, New Mexico Ghost Tales


The daytime hours in Chacon, New Mexico are the same as daytime hours anywhere else, but underneath the surface there are atypical things occurring. Things go down in this town that can't be scientifically explained. A number of local residents allege there are no ghosts, but anyone who has stayed a day in Chacon, New Mexico knows better.

These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently.

The ghost of an old prospector with a sizeable beard and a wooden right leg was made out exploring Alamitos Canyon in detail in the early morning hours. The phantom didn't appear to be concerned by the onlookers. Regardless of what, this is an unfriendly spirit that you shouldn't go seeking.

The ghost of a flight attendant came into view cleaning a blood-splattered scarf in Loring Spring at midnight. The phantom waved to the viewer.

The ghost of an old cleaning lady was perceived twinkling a kerosene lamp up on Holman Hill. The spirit was consumed by the air after being seen.

A black cat that
 
    turned into a woman was witnessed fluttering over the Rincon Mountains in the early morning hours. Alarmed by the observers the spirit faded away into the night.

The ghost of a young lady clothed as a house keeper has frequently been spotted hauling a body across the ground in El Poso around midnight.
