A woman in flames, hauling a gasoline container is occasionally witnessed before dawn hurrying after a passing Pontiac on a dark highway near Eagle Nest. One thing's for sure, it's a chilling ghost that any commonsensical person wouldn't wish to encounter. The ghost of a young air force pilot has purportedly been spotted on several occasions at Eagle Nest Dam at night trying to locate another ghost. Residents say that this ghost is the ghost of a vacationer that was murdered while journeying through Eagle Nest before the present. A female with a bottle-green face may occasionally be perceived on the top of Baldy Mountain very late at night observing the panorama.
