The living dead are crawling over this municipality as the folks who live here will tell you about. Doubters don't have faith in the local phantom accounts, but the phantoms of Elida are out tonight trying to find somebody to terrify. These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently. A lady with a spear in her head may from time to time be witnessed talking into the night on the water's edge of Baker Lake. The phantom of a young Indian warrior was distinguished pulling a dead body through some bushes in Castano de Sosas Route Historical Marker around midnight. The appearance of the viewer alarmed the ghost who then disappeared. The spirit of a tough       lumberjack holding a large axe materialized in an Elida secondary school after midnight walking the halls. The ghost spoke about revenging a homicide. One thing is for sure, it without a doubt is a scary ghost that any rational person wouldn't wish to run into. The frightening phantom of a Viking was witnessed in a mirror in an Elida home; the   ghost was only to be seen in the mirror. The viewer was frightened and ran off. A lot of local residents say this ghost is the undead soul of a long forgotten Elida local.
