Lamy, New Mexico Ghost Tales


Not everything in Lamy, New Mexico is as it appears; if you are easily scared, you'd best keep your distance to this place in the moonlight hours. Some of the dead will not pass on in this town. People who have never stayed for the night in this town will let you know it's lies, but the ghosts of Lamy are out tonight trying to find somebody to frighten.

These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently.

The ghost of a guy wearing armed forces attire was noticed chucking bricks into the stream at Arroyo Colorado around midnight. The watcher got scared and escaped.

A female with a knife sticking out of her head showed up frightening people up on Cerro Colorado. The phantom waved to the witness.

The spirit of a woman with a sack tied around her head was witnessed in Bobcat Canyon at the stroke of midnight shouting names of people. The ghost was consumed by the night after being distinguished. People here who have noticed this ghost allege this ghost is the undeparted spirit
 
    of a long gone Lamy local resident.

A somewhat transparent guy clothed as the captain of a freight ship was perceived going to see White Bluffs in the early morning hours before sunrise. When perceived the ghost approached the observer who then ran away. Local people assert that this ghost is that of a person who dwelled here in Lamy before
  the present.

The ghost of a young gentleman in a confederate uniform has frequently been observed laundering a blood-splattered pillow in Ojo Abajenos very late at night. No matter what people utter, this ghost sure is terrifying; one that should be left alone.
