Pecos, New Mexico Ghost Tales


In the daylight hours you may believe Pecos, New Mexico is just equal to any other municipality, but this municipality is controlled by the undeceased after the sun is down. Dark hour is undeceased time in this town. Folks who have never stayed a day in this city will surely tell you it's lies, but if you are fearless enough to stay for the night in Pecos, you may well perceive a ghost for yourself.

A female with her head and right arm and left leg removed has been said to have been perceived on many instances in Pecos
 
    Ranger District after midnight sawing down a high tree. Several of the folks who live in this town declare this phantom enjoys startling people who come trying to locate phantoms in Pecos.

  phantom of a gentleman carrying a blood-covered spear can often be observed articulating into the night in Alamitos Canyon around midnight.

The spirit of a civil war combatant has occasionally been perceived in a secluded place near Pecos.

The ghost of a man having numbers carved into his arm is known to have been made out on a few occasions floating down on Rito Atascoso late at night. It's been argued that this specific ghost could be the soul of a local who passed away here in Pecos some decades ago.

The phantom of a train driver may now and then be noticed cleaning a blood-covered
cloth in Alamosa Spring around midnight. In any case, this is an unfriendly phantom that you shouldn't go trying to find.
