It was 2 am, and I just moved into a new house here in Rio Rancho. I was 13 years old, and I was alone because my parents were on a business trip. I was lying in bed watching movies, and I heard a noise in the kitchen. I got up to investigate. I saw a large black shadow, but I just ignored it. I heard a loud scream. Then I turned around, and the large black shadow was there, so I ran to my grandma's since she was just down the street. I was safe, but this is the scariest thing that has happened to me. I no longer live in that house, but if you end up living in that house, I'm sorry.

Comment by Julian: Holy ---- man that's insane!!! I would be so scared. At least you have your grandma's house.
Comment by Samantha: Thanks Julian. And yeah I was pretty lucky to have my grandma. Thanks for your input!.
My family moved into a home in the Corrales Heights neighborhood of Rio Rancho (1992). The home had a detailed history of failed family successes both emotionally and physically. Shortly after its construction the garage was struck by lightning, and a small fire ensued. The home had three successive owners before our purchase. The previous owner who sold to us had a young son who nearly died from an acute respiratory condition. My marriage collapsed from a devastating event. Another family member suffered a tragic stroke at the age of 36 after moving in. A family member reported a presence laid on her legs during the night. We sold it to a young family.
The owner (young male) soon thereafter divorced and committed suicide after suffering once again from severe financial upsets. La Cantora Court is a dangerous place to live. Another lot on this street experienced a near suicide when a distraught husband attempted to commit suicide by disconnecting the home's live water heater gas line fell asleep until the home exploded. A new home was constructed on this lot in 2002. The two neighbors next to this home have experienced untimely deaths. Zi moved from this property in 2004 and have never returned!.
