Santa Clara, New Mexico Ghost Tales

When I was a small girl, the kids of the town used to tell me about the ''Oronna''.  Legend tells that she was a young woman who was in love, her love died, and she died of a broken heart.  Every time it rains, if you go down to the creek, you can hear her cries and see her stacking rocks.  I didn't believe it, so I had to go down there, and sure enough, I heard the cries, and there  was a stack of rocks neer the bank of the creek.  The next day I went back to the same spot and the rocks were gone..

By the looks of it Santa Clara, New Mexico appears like a typical

city, but this location has a decent percentage of phantoms. The ghosts of this municipality don’t leave anyone unscared. Some locals say these stories are not true, but the undeceased may very well show
themselves to you if you stay overnight in Santa Clara.

These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently.

The ghost of a pregnant woman can be observed very often gazing in Bayard Historical Marker late at night. In any case, it's without a doubt a bloodcurdling ghost that you shouldn't go trying to locate.

The ghost of a youthful guy in a winter coat has sometimes been made out after midnight examining Bayard Canyon in detail.
