A lady having an axe in her head came into view twinkling a lantern at the water at Recapture Reservoir. When distinguished the ghost approached the eye witness who then escaped. In any case, it sure is a menacing ghost that is preferably not interrupted. A wandering ghost was seen drifting down Johnson Creek late at night. There are several accounts involving this spirit in the neighborhood. Local people who have spotted this ghost say this ghost can be the soul of a resident who died here in Blanding some decades ago. The ghost of a young-looking Indian combatant appeared at Blanding City Number Four Dam around midnight calling out names. Numerous people in the vicinity have had comparable incidents with a very similar ghost.
