A local person claims that this phantom is that of a local resident who lived here in Croydon some decades ago. One thing is for certain, this is a horrible phantom that you wouldn't wish to encounter late in the night. The ghost of a gentleman gripping a sword appeared in Anderton Canyon late in the night attempting to say something. The ghost       spoke about avenging a homicide. A female with worms crawling out of her eye sockets was perceived going to see Devils Slide very late at night. The onlooker got scared and escaped. The ghost of a chained up lady showed up observing the panorama from the pinnacle of Bolly Knob in the early morning hours. The ghost did not appear to be agonized by the witnesses.
