Dammeron Valley, Utah Ghost Tales On Red Rover Mine Road, about 1 mile up the road from Sierra Hwy., you have two mines. One on each side of the road. On the right you have governor's mine, which has some great stories. I have a couple of experience's with this mine. I used to live right next to one of the openings, and I have seen things coming in and out at all times of the day. The one I wanted to share though, is from the bottom of the hill, at the top of Crown Valley Rd. where the dirt roads take you to the top of governor's. I used to take my girlfriend up there when we were young. It was our make-out spot. One night, we were getting our romance going, and something hit the car. Would have though rabbit, or bird, but it hit hard enough that the car actually shook. I looked out the windows, and saw nothing, but we were officially scared. so we left. And on the way down the hill, just before the dirt road turns to the right and you hit pavement, a disfigured person ran out at us from behind a tree. Against her advice, I turned around to go back and confront the guy.       I was young, and dumb. I also thought that it was probably just someone trying to play a prank on us. When I went back, there was no one there. I drove up the road a little looking for him, wanting a confrontation. I found no one, so I turned around, and from the same bush, the same figure ran out at us, this time actually hitting the tail end of the   car, and giving me the same chilling feeling as at the top of the hill. I got a good look at it this time, and I don't know what to make of it. It was disfigured, and man-like. But definitely not a prank on some kids part. I would not be likely to venture back out in that area at dark again. ever.
