There's not one thing extraordinary on the subject of Moroni, Utah while the sun shines, but there are spirits in this town, and they appear during the moonlight hours. The undeceased are everywhere in this settlement as the folks who live here will declare. Some folks who live here say these stories are untrue, but everybody who dwells in Moroni is not alive.

The ghost of an aged female grasping a rifle can repeatedly be seen piling boulders up on the top of Black Knob.
The ghost of an old Indian chief has occasionally been perceived by Birch Creek demolishing a hat.
The spirit of an elderly cleaning lady is now and then

perceived in the early morning hours before sunrise scrutinizing Basin Canyon in detail. One of the local residents firmly asserts that this ghost is that of a local person who settled here in Moroni some decades ago.
