Mount Pleasant, Utah Ghost Tales We have experienced the sound of a car driving up and someone knocking on our door. When we go to answer it, no one is around. It happens late at night. Submitted by Kim Hinckley Most of the folks who live here in Mount Pleasant, Utah are happily uninformed of the horrendous secrets this town retains; some long gone people from the past have returned here. Lots of ghost sightings have been told by the locals. People who have never spent the night in this city will surely tell you it's untrue, but if you are courageous enough to stay for the night in Mount Pleasant, you may very well       witness a ghost for yourself. These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently. A female with her head and left arm and left leg sliced off can repeatedly   be noticed glugging down regular unleaded from a pump at a gas station in Mount Pleasant. One thing is for certain, this ghost sure is chilling; one that should be avoided. A soldier's outfit staggering about without a body in it has every now and then been seen by Birch Creek smoking a pipe. Well, this is a nasty ghost that is preferably not disturbed. The phantom of a severely scorched lady has purportedly been perceived on a handful of occasions reading a newsletter at McKinley Strates Dam late in the night. Some of the folks who live here assert this ghost is the ghost of a vacationer that was murdered while traveling through Mount Pleasant some time ago. The ghost of an engine driver may from time to time be observed looking for someone down next to Apple Tree Spring around midnight. A lady devoid of a head has frequently been witnessed late in the night staring over Freeman Allred Meadow. If you talk to the locals, this ghost is that of a person who dwelled here in Mount Pleasant before the present. In any event, it's a bloodcurdling ghost that you do not want to run into late at night. The ghost of a young-looking female with a cable around her neck is regularly observed talking into the night as if someone in addition was there. Regardless of what folks exclaim, it's sure a scary ghost that you shouldn't go seeking.
