Salt Lake City, Utah Ghost Tales

One night my best friend and another friend of mine decided to go for a drive on gravity hill. My best friends cousin had gone through and claim she swore she saw something or someone on the stretch of road. Well, as we began through the canyon like drive we saw a figure a man or boy. He wore a black backpack, a white and blue flannel shirt, shaggy like hair with a grocer plastic sack, and what looked like tan pants. He glanced over at us but didn't directly look at us. My stomach jumped and I felt scared and had Goosebumps which is not normal for me I don't scare easily.

Convinced he was just a man walking through lost we went through again only to find trees a long stretch of road and bushes no man to be found. This was quite creepy. After going through a few more times, we came to the conclusion that he was the ghost of Gravity Hill. Well, one of many I found out. Years ago young children were actually sacrificed in the park nearby Gravity Hill by a satanic or ritualistic type cult but it would not explain the young man walking

along side the road. He was possibly murdered or just met death in the canyon. What was weird about that night was that when I was on the phone with my best friends cousin it cut out at the exact same spot. We had seen him the first time on full bars.

The
old Salt Lake Cemetery, near the capital and Gravity Hill, has a special resident. The last I knew this cemetery has been gated off because of vandals breaking down the old tombstones, but there is a park just to the left, north west, close to the most Western corner of the cemetery, that has two baseball diamonds in the park. From the farthest diamond from the road, if standing in the outfield, looking slightly uphill, you can see into the cemetery. There is a monument to a little girl who died in the city planning days of Salt Lake, and if memory serves, she was the daughter of someone of importance to the city, a loss that saddened the city kind of thing. Her monument is two pillars with a statue of a little girl in a dress in the middle of the pillars, that looks like she's dancing. Now, if you stand in the park and look up at her monument at night, usually after ten or eleven, and only if she's comfortable with you, you can see her statue spinning, swaying, lack of a better term, dancing. You can take flood lights up at night and if you shine
them on the statue its simply the statue. Once the lights are off her for a bit, she'll start up again. She's still a shy little one so be nice when you go to see her, if she doesn't like you she won't dance. I've been there a few times and alone she'll dance as well if the numbers of the group are mostly female. I've gone with three guys and two girls twice to test it and she didn't dance. Like I said be nice, talking to her seems to help.
