Kemmerer, Wyoming Ghost Tales | |

In the year 1974 my wife and I were driving from Pocatello to Chicago to join family for Christmas. We left Pocatello at 11pm, therefore arriving to the outskirts of Kemmerer late at night. Neither of us was tired. After all this was the begining of a long drive and we were alert, ready to drive all night.
It was a still clear night as we approached a location near the old Nugget Railroad stop west of town. My wife was driving, no other cars were on the road. We hadn't seen a car for quite some time. Being this far west of town their were no lights. It was very dark. In the distance I saw a glowing light along the road. Having driven this road many times, it seemed odd to see a light way out here. Didn't really dwell on the notion, still it was odd.
As we approached the glow came into focus. It was the figure of a woman; transparent, wearing a white dress, very old fashion looking. She had her hands out and did not have any legs. Only the upper 2/3 of her was present, the lower portion of her body was empty space. My wife slowed the car,

I stared, she stared, nothing was said. She then hit the gas and we sped off. A few seconds later I asked her if she saw somwthing. She responded by describing the lady I had seen. At this point I realized we both saw the same thing, so to me it was confirmation that the figure we saw was a ghost. No question.
