I lived there in 1970s. I lived out in the country and remember going to rock creek elementary. I remember the house was new then with a white ranch fence all the way around the property. The house was haunted by evil spirits. For example, on almost every night I could lay in bed and hear kitchen cabinets opening and closing, dishes being moved, laughing, and doors slamming. Also, I remember awakening to the sight of a being which looked like a dog but standing up on all fours. I was so scared I turned over into a ball. At that point it scratched my back all the way down to my waist with its claws. I always felt that I was being watched their. One night around 3 am I awoke to see a being at the foot of my bed. I could see it floating there with it's legs not visible but kind of see through. Up higher it became visible and appeared to be a dark looking old man with a scowl on his face. He was just there looking at me. I was so scared I couldn't even scream. On another night my father awoke in a different room too a ugly hag looking

being hovering at his window screaming like a banshee. He was so shaken he couldn't go to work the next day. We had about 10 acres around our house that was fenced and had large trees. One day while I was playing outside I was chased by someone something that kept saying ''I'm going to get you.'' as it chased me through the woods. I never turned

around but as I dove over a barbed wire fence I could see this old white hand with long fingernails reaching out to grab me. He did manage to get a hold of my windbreaker but I yanked it free and kept running. I hated living there and couldn't wait to get out. Submitted by Trent Categories: home, sounds, animals
I have not been in the town of auburn in 15 years or so, but I used to live there, and had many unexplainable occurrences. in my home, and in surrounding areas. maybe someday I will try to remember details and post them here. I found this blog on a fluke. Does anyone know the story on the cemetery nestled between the freeway and the shopping center where lucky's is? Off of elm ave. if that's still there. I was always fascinated by it, and spent many hours alone there. I remember that most of the headstones, the ones that were left , and legible were for people from Salem, and Wales (up). . may not be an exciting story for some but it is for me because I experienced it. This incident happened to me in my own home in Auburn. I was having repeated dreams of waking up because of something disturbing above my bed. At one point I did wake up to the sound of a paper bag in the corner of my room being jostled repeatedly. I sat up and turned on the light quick enough to see it. It looked like the bag was being struck over and over or pushed or something. Fearing that, in the morning, I wouldn't know if the experience was a dream or not, I somehow had the nerve to walk over to the bag (after it stopped moving), checked it (there was nothing in it) picked it up and put it by my back door. (Also ensuring it wouldn't bother me again). Sure enough, in the morning it was there. What would a ghost be doing pushing a bag?. Submitted by anonymous
