We circled the house several times chanting ''go to the light''. My friend had a vision while we were circling the house that 4 children were in the window and the house was on fire. We could smell smoke but there was no fire around the area at all! Another incident with the same house around 1991 was a woman was seen in a big red Victorian hat wearing a red dress rocking back and forth in a rocker inside the house. Footsteps and doors shutting were also

I've lived in Auburn all my life. I can tell you with certainty that most of the old homes on Welsh Street and in that area are most likely haunted. It's an old town with a lot of history. I lived in a house downtown for a few years right out of High School with a friend. We had to move out in about 3 months time. We didn't even unpack out things all the way. It was impossible. Things would be moved. we had ketchup all over the floor. The blinds on the windows were always up. TV would come on. We got tired of it real quick. Submitted by CS196

A big house on Lincoln Way, in Downtown Auburn, California, is truly and proven to be HAUNTED (in a good way). Next to the State Theater. While occupied by a Wellness center from 2009 to 2011, several strange happenings had been noticed. Furniture and rugs were moved. Oils from the massage room were squirted onto the walls. Books were left open on the coffee table. Toys were dumped out onto the floor. Closets and doors were left open, and there was just an overall feeling of someone else there. This presence had never been felt to be evil or threatening, just mischievous. One evening there was a presence felt by the owner and proprietor of the Wellness center at the time, and with that she looked up to find a little girl with long black hair wearing what looked to be a long nightgown. She just looked forlorn and stood there for about a minute and then ran out of the room and down the long hallway.
