Belmont, California Ghost Sightings
It was a hot day and someone -- or something -- turned on the heater in my home. This was after sharpie dots mysteriously appeared on the wall of my apartment.|

Over a hundred years ago where present day Ralston HWY 92 and Adelaide Road intersect near the northern edge of Belmont there was a homeless shelter. It was self-sustaining with a farm and shop, and the residents worked there to support the place. In the field behind Adelaide Drive is the burial ground that was attached to the homeless shelter, and at one time (most have probably been removed) there were numbered wooden grave markers in that field. Yes, there are many people buried there. Lori Court overlooks this field; it's behind the row of eucalyptus trees. I'm frankly surprised there hasn't been more paranormal activity in that area.

What most people do not know about Belmont, CA is that one of the most charming & desired streets, Mezes Avenue, has seen more death and has been haunted for years. Currently, 100's of trick-or-treaters walk the closed down avenue on Halloween, but have no clue as to the violent history this street has seen. In the late 70s, a stylish home was a bloody murder scene when a 15 year old boy decided to kill his family. After murdering his mother, father & siblings, he hanged himself in the garage. Says to have been possessed by the devil. His father actually lived through the horrific night to tell about it.
Then there is the very charming 1920's home across the street from them that everyone loves. Previous owner hanged herself decades ago. The last realtor to show the house had her foot grabbed while walking up the stairs. She has vowed never to return inside that house!
What about the little boy who was run over and killed on the 2000 block in the 1940s? Claims of cries from the street in the middle of the night have been reported.
