Another story about Carson High School. On the east side of the school there is a locked gate with a sign above it Gabriel's Gate. For years an older man who worked as an aide on campus was stationed at the gate to unlock/lock the gate as necessary.
He sat quietly day after day on a folding chair beside the gate. His name was Gabriel. After he passed away the school dedicated the gate to his memory. He was not replaced but frequently people report that the gate was opened for them by an older man who had been sitting there on a folding chair.
Gabriel has not abandoned his post.|

We lived in the Carson area from 1971-1983. It was down the street from Victoria Park. The house was on Billings Street on the corner of a dead end. We had lots of nightmares hearing strange noises and even seeing a little girl at night.
She wasn't scary, just wanted to play? There was an evil old woman that appeared sometimes. The crazy thing is we had a habit of climbing over the wooden fence sometimes. And once we saw a strange man wearing a long dark coat and dark hat walking on the side walk heading towards us.
He would be about a block down? We would get scared and jump back over the fence and stand there peeking to see if he would ever pass by so we could get a better look and he never did! I wish I had some answers.
