Another ghost sighting that is said is that of a women who is seen walking outside an old tavern located between Speegle st & Geil st. It is said that a mass shooting happened there years ago and that a lady was hung to death by her husband on a tree that was next to that tavern. Even today you can see the stump of that old tree. It is said that eventhough the owners of the land have made several atempts to remove the tree stump, it has been impossible. Submitted by Afraid
You may well imagine that Castroville, California is exactly the same as any other municipality in the United States of America, but underneath the surface there are abnormal things occurring. Ghosts are so normal around here; a lot of locals don’t even worry about it any longer. Doubters don't believe in the local phantom stories, but the phantoms of Castroville are out tonight searching for a person to scare.

neck has regularly been witnessed in Elkhorn Slough National Estuarine Research Reserve on a dark night hauling a corpse through some bushes. One of the people who live here steadfastly asserts that this ghost is the ghost of a vacationer that was killed while passing through Castroville some decades ago.

been distinguished on several occasions fishing from the shore of Espinosa Lake late at night.
The ghost of an old female carrying a revolver can frequently be noticed in the early morning hours looking over Merritt Lake.
The ghost of an aged Indian chief can be noticed repeatedly down by the water at Island Beach mounding bricks.
A black as coal snake that turned into a lady has occasionally been made out looking at the water by Moss Landing Harbor after midnight.
The spirit of a homeless guy is every now and then perceived at Elkhorn Slough late at night flinging stones into the stream.
A frightening being can occasionally be witnessed studying the surroundings from the summit of Mulligan Hill at midnight. A number of people allege this ghost is that of a local person who lived here in Castroville some decades ago. One thing is for guaranteed, this is a hostile ghost that is better not interrupted.
