An unbelievably frightening ghost has   been distinguished on several occasions fishing from the shore of Espinosa Lake late at night. The ghost of an old female carrying a revolver can frequently be noticed in the early morning hours looking over Merritt Lake. The ghost of an aged Indian chief can be noticed repeatedly down by the water at Island Beach mounding bricks. A black as coal snake that turned into a lady has occasionally been made out looking at the water by Moss Landing Harbor after midnight. The spirit of a homeless guy is every now and then perceived at Elkhorn Slough late at night flinging stones into the stream.
