Chula Vista is a hotbed of ''ghosts''. At the end of F Street there is a field that at one time was a sailing club. I lived down there for a while and felt some really weird things. Have you ever walked down 3rd Avenue at night, or sat in the memorial bowl? Eucalyptus Park is another creepy place.|

When I was a very young child, between the ages of four to six, my parents, my younger brother, and I lived in The Sahara Sands Apartments on H Street and 2nd Street in Chula Vista. When I was five I saw my first ghost. It was March 17, 1976 to be exact, the day my Great-great Gram died. She came to me that night and said goodbye and that she loved me very much. The next time I remember seeing a ghost there was when my Uncle had come to visit from Illinois. He was babysitting my brother and me while my Mom was at a Gordon Lightfoot concert. It is kind of important to know that my bed was suspended from the ceiling, literally hanging from the ceiling. A Lady came into my room and sat on my bed and started reading to me and swinging my bed. Yes, this could have been the imagination of small child, but I know for a fact that I wasn't dreaming because she just disappeared. I went and asked Uncle if my Mom was home, and he said that she wasn't yet. She came into my room many times after that and would either read to me or play with me.
The one that really sticks out was when my Mom, my brother, and I were playing with a beach ball in the front room, just rolling it to each other. I was not the only one to experience this. Again, it is important for you to know that there was a door that closed off the hallway from the front room. Well, the ball rolled into the hallway, and the door slammed shut. I can remember telling my Mom not to go get it. Well, she did and when she opened the door the temperature dropped to freezing, and we could see our breath! The next thing we knew was we could feel something go past us and the perfect indentation of someone sitting down on the couch. Needless to say, my Mom got us out of there quick for a few days to her friend's house. We lived there for a while longer before moving to D Street.

Well I used to live at an apartment complex in Chula Vista, California. My daughter had a friend named ''Autos'' that no one else can see, so we just thought it was an imaginary friend or something. Later on in life at 3:00 am every morning the phone will get off the phone hook, and we would hear it. One day I called a spirit looker, and she said the house had burned down before we moved there, and two little kids died in the house. She said once in a while we should turn on white candles and ask the spirits if they can stop. After that night they never did that again. I still live in the apartment complex and everything, but now I feel safer that there are just 2 small kids.
