Custom Search Encinitas, California Ghost Sightings Encinitas PAGE 1   2   3   4   5     In 2010 I went to California with my family. We stayed in Encinitas for two nights. On the first night we went out on the Beach (i forget which one but it might have been moonlight) just because beaches at night are fun. I noticed this figure out in the water barely visible but I didn't make much of it. I didn't really believe in ghosts – still don't sort of. What was weird is that a little bit later my mother asks me     if I can see the figure. I hadn't said anything about it to her before. My father could also see it. No one else was there. After some squinting and discussing we called out and got no answer. The figure was standing with what seemed like a kayak or a surfboard but he seemed to be too far out to be standing like that. I like to think it was a ghost that we saw but there's also the part of me that says it was a person who either didn't hear us or chose not to respond for whatever reason.
