I was a student at EHS and I saw one of the ghosts that haunt the school auditorium. I was working in the play one year and I saw a floating head in the storage room below the stage. I turned away and when I looked back the head was gone. Two weeks after I saw this ghost our tech manager told me the story of the carpenter that was decapitated during construction in the 1920s.

It was spring and I was in a play in 1978 one flew over the cuckoos nest put on by the city of Eureka. About two nights into the play during a performance (tom Roscoe was in the play as well) myself and my cohort Maryanne climbed through the facade on stage and were crouching below the side of the stage trying not to be seen by the audience. When all of the sudden a manly three dimensional shadow darted from between us and ran up the stairs toward the dressing room and vanished before our very eyes! I'd seen a ghost before at my grandmothers house when I was twelve years old but hadn't seen one since then until that night. It happened so suddenly that I had no fear we were not thinking about ghosts at all. Though Maryanne was very frightened at the encounter I was not. I found it to be fascinating and inquired of others in the play.
