I went to Mountain View Cemetery on Belmont and Hughes to visit a friend who had just passed away. A friend and I were in town, and we stayed at a motel nearby. We went to this cemetery about 9:00 pm; the gates were still open. This was back in 1994. As soon as we parked and started walking towards our friend's plot where he was buried, I started hearing children laughing. It was as if they were playing around with each other. At first I thought it was my imagination, and I told myself that in the head, but they kept laughing.
I knew I really was hearing it. As we got closer to the grave I heard a man and a woman yelling and arguing with each other and a baby crying in a disturbed way. We stood there for about fifteen to twenty minutes in complete silence hearing all this, but we never said anything to each other while we were there.
Suddenly out of nowhere my friend mumbled ''you ready to go?'' I responded ''yeah let's head out. '' As soon as we got away from there he asked me if I heard children laughing and a couple arguing. I told him yes, and I also heard a baby crying. It was too dark then, so we had to go back in the morning to check it out.
We saw that that night we were walking over the area where the young children and babies were buried. About the couple arguing, we will never know what truly happened to that child. There have been many other people I have come across telling me about them hearing children laughing at that same cemetery. When you start to get close to that area where the children are buried you will hear it louder and clearer. People told me it usually happened around dawn to dusk but sometimes in broad daylight!.|

Comment by Andrea: I used to love to walk around the cemetery on Belmont and Hughes. One day I took my son with me. He was about 4 years old. I had noticed he had been running around and laughing. It was getting to be sunset so I told him it was time to go.
He started to cry and said he wanted to stay longer and play with his new friends. We were the only ones there.
