Glendale, California Ghost Sightings - PAGE 2

the way. The last occurrence was when I was babysitting my niece. She was a baby. My sister-in-law went to the store and had left a candle with a picture of Mary burning. I had heard something in the room. When I went to see what it was; the candle was one giant flame. I got my niece and took her to the living room. I got a big bucket of water and put out the flame.
I am just curious if anyone that lived there after we moved out had any experiences
with the paranormal.|

Just south of the Glendale city limit off Verdugo Road and north of York Boulevard intersection, there exists an area once known as Sagamore Park. Residents generally refer to this as part of Eagle Rock, but historically it is the Verdugo Pass. The Great Depression slowed the growth of Los Angeles for a while, but in 1939 this area began to develop again.
In one house on a corner, an old man has been seen by two different people several years apart. One source said this house was the first one built in the Sagamore Park area, but this has not been confirmed by a records check. A locket missing the front contained a photo of a man and woman, and it was found buried between the beams of the garage after the first sighting. The man, tall thin and wearing a straw boater, matched the apparition seen in the hall/kitchen area. The initials on the back of the locket match those of the first owner. The second sighting was made without that person knowing of the locket. They were informed of it after they described the same man. I still have the locket.
