Hayward, California Ghost Tales | |

In the mid '80s I lived on Corrine Street, in Hayward, 94544. This was in a small 3 bedroom wooden house about halfway up the street just below the Mission Hill. One late summer night around 9PM I returned to the house I was living in, but discovered that I had forgotten the front door key. I sat in my car in the driveway and waited for my friends to return that were also living there but out for the evening. As I looked up, a strange looking woman in an old fashioned pioneer calico dress with long white hair appeared on the porch. I wasn't frightened because she looked so real I didn't think she was a spirit. She didn't say a word, but looked frightened and turned to the left and the right as if she was expecting someone to confront her from either side of the front yard. I watched her for the longest 5 minutes of my life, then I spoke out to her, ''Who are you?'' and she looked wide-eyed at me and just faded away. At that very moment a black cat made a small shriek and jumped onto the front fender of my car and startled the heck out

lady, home
In Hayward off of Sycamore Ave by the Bart tracks at around 9 pm one night.I was with a friend outside waiting for two other friends. We were in an area where the street lights were on bright. We were minding our own business just waiting and talking. Then we decided to walk back to my house. As my friend was walking ahead of me, I saw something hovering in the sky in front of us. I stopped my friend and told her to look. She saw the same thing I saw. It was a dark, hunched creature with claws as long as fingers. This creature had head and shoulders only. The shoulders were broad and pointy. It looked to me as though it was an old woman hunched over with claw feet dangling over. No sounds were coming from this thing and thank goodness it was not aware of us. Who knows what this thing was or what it would do to us. We were there like 30 long seconds taking a good look at it, then we ran home fast. Submitted by Krystina Categories: lady, roadside, figures
