that would stare from the back door through the glass...it was a VERY old cottage so I'm sure he'd once lived there. It was like he was just done with work, took off his boots, and wanted to come in! And I was never the only person to see him. All of our guests would see him too! When we moved in, we had brand new carpets, and I would hear the crunching of the fibers as if someone's was SLOWLY creeping up to where I was!

That freaked me out so much, that I'd keep the TV on just for the background noise. Then I started seeing spirits dressed in turn of the century
|
clothing, and after midnight I'd always hear horse drawn carriages. After a year of this, I had become so attached to these beings, that I was sad to leave! Now I realize they were draining my spirit, and that it was probably a good thing that I moved.
