Custom Search Helendale, California Ghost Sightings Helendale PAGE 1   2     When the lakes in Helendale at Silver lakes community were being developed, there was a night where several ghostly images were seen near the Railroad tracks on several occasions. Some of the current residents report seeing similar images near the Mojave River and the rr tracks. Reports are if you go to the rr tracks at route 66/247 late at night you May hear the sounds of a Man yelling in pain. Helendale was a prime mail depot     and horse crossing in the Early 1900's. My uncle gasped and grabbed my mother's arm and pointed outside of the window. Directly infront of them on the side of the road was a man stnding in a top hat and cloak.
