Tonight I saw a grey figure in the road at La Mirada Blvd and Rosecrans Ave. I lived and grew up in La Mirada and attended LMHS. So tonight I was on my way home. I was sitting at the light waiting for it to change. Once it changed I started into the road, and for some reason I looked in my rear view mirror and I noticed a grey figure in the road where my car had just been. Thinking it was my eyes because I had a long day, I looked away and then back up to my rear view. The figure was still there. I kept looking in the mirror realizing what I was seeing. I finally had to look away to watch the road. I did look back into my rear view, and the figure was gone.

It wasn't too far from the cemetery, and I drive this road every night for the last 6 years. I have never seen anything there in the road. I'm seriously wondering if anyone else has seen this. I grew up in the track of homes on the other side of Biola between Valley View by the grade school that wasn't used anymore. Crazy things happened all the time in the house I lived in. My husband grew up by Escalona, and he's never seen or heard of anything weird happening in La Mirada.

I read the items in this page and never heard any of it while living in La Mirada. I moved there when I was in the 3rd grade and lived there until I graduated LMHS. So please has anyone else seen this grey figure in the road? Btw, it's end of July 2016.

Every now and again, when I'm reminded of my experience, I will do a Google search to see if anyone else has had an experience like mine, but to this day, I haven't found anything. So I thought I would post it here to see if anyone can confirm what I've seen. It was about 8 pm, 1999. I was on my way to In N Out on Firestone Blvd. I came down Trojan Way and headed west to get to the restaurant, and suddenly I saw what I thought was a dog, a large, very tall dog with the longest tongue I'd ever seen on a dog. It had long floppy ears that blew in the wind as it ran very quickly towards me, and what seemed to be right into the side of my car. Its eyes were orangey red, and fur/skin was grey.

It was so tall. It passed the height of my side view mirror. It appeared so suddenly, I thought it would collide with the side of my car, and I braced myself for impact. I screamed and thought, OMG I'm going to kill this dog! But there was NO impact. I looked in my rear-view to see if I could catch a glimpse and confirm it was a dog, but nothing was there! I always refer to it as ''Ghost Dog. '' I was alone, so nobody else witnessed this. But this thing had exaggerated features of a dog, so I question if it was a dog, and I question if it was the ghost of dog or something else. I don't know, but I never saw it again. Has anyone seen this?.
