Just saw a ghost a few minutes ago. Ran after it and it disappeared. I'm a little freaked out by it but whatever.

My parents and I moved to Lake Elsinore, CA off Grand Avenue from Newport Beach, CA in 1999. For the most part I have not seen or experienced anything until April of 2007. One day around 5:30 AM I was driving down Grand Avenue heading toward Ortega Highway 74. It was still dark in that early morning drive to Orange County, and my headlights were on. After driving past the middle school and the housing community on the right, I saw only what I recognized it to be as the Grim Reaper. It was standing on the side of the road facing my direction and stood at about eight to ten feet tall.

It appeared transparent and did not reflect light from my head lights. The texture looked like a misty dark mass with no real definitive edges or fabric or any kind of earthly materials. It was something from out of this world or realm. By the time I scanned this dark mass looking for a face, I finally saw what I could only make out as a grey misty area with slightly two darker depressions which looked like eye sockets. I could not make out anything else. By the time I drove by it at around 45 MPH, I tried to pull over to stop and look at what it was I saw, but I couldn't since there were busy commuters behind me tailgating me. I have not seen this object since then, and I have not had anything happen to me that would appear to be supernatural in a negative context.

Has anyone else seen anything like it in or near Lake Elsinore?.

From 1988 to 1993 I lived on W. Pottery St. My husband and I were thrilled to buy an old home that needed some renovation and TLC; it was built in the 1910s. Not long after moving in, my oldest daughter said the house had a ghost. She is a 'sensitive', a person who 'sees' spirits, so I did not doubt her. If our family was upstairs, we would hear footsteps on the wooden floors below, and vice versa. Occasionally we would wake up at night to the smell of pot roast, even though I had not cooked any. Once in a while a cabinet door would be open even though none of us had been in the room.
