down in my sleeping bag with covers over my head. The next morning I asked my grandmother and everyone in the house if they were up anytime that night and staring at me.
She said no. I was never so scared in my life!.

I used to live in Los Altos on Montclaire Way in the original farm house that the neighborhood was built around. It was built around 1914 and used to have a long, rose-lined driveway that went all the way to Foothill Expressway. Many families lived in that house throughout the years, and the upstairs section gave everybody the creeps. Ear piercing silence, apparitions out of the corner of your eye, a tremendous feeling of dread, being waken up in the middle of the night to find a spider crawling on you... Things like that. Some pretty notable paranormal activity that people would mention to us all the time without it being mentioned to them.

Almond and San Antonio is a major local paranormal hotspot. On that corner you can get all kinds of ghost radar readings and EVPs. There's a statue shaped like a corkscrew that seems to act as an antenna for all of this.
Not saying the statue is the reason but the readings are strongest right by the statue.

Comment by Bob: I can confirm that. I went to the corkscrew statue recently with a ghost app on my phone and got very high readings. Would be interesting to hear from someone who knows the background on this.
Comment by anonymous: If you go there in the witching hour 2 to 3 am you can see an actual apparition if you're lucky. It's a misty shape. Kind of like a roughly human shaped cloud.
