So for my cousin's wedding we stayed at a really cute hotel, it was obviously redone, and you could tell it wasn't always a hotel. Well one night when my whole family was asleep I couldn't sleep so I decided to walk around the hotel at night knowing it was safe because the only people there were family.
The whole time I had a weird feeling like someone was behind me, but every time I turned around no one was there. I started to see blurred images I thought were people but when I went to look again they were gone. I heard footsteps through the halls and coming up the stairs, but it was around three thirty when an alarm clock started to go off in the janitors closet. I knew I shouldn't go inside but I did anyways. So I went into the room to turn off the alarm and when I went inside the door shut behind me. It freaked me out because I knew it was not the wind. All the doors in the hotel were very heavy and this door slammed shut. Needless to say I was spooked. I didn't sleep a bit that night and found out during the day that it was haunted, and my parents were shocked to find that I was not surprised! Of course I never told them of that night.

Mccloud is the strangest place I have ever lived. I lived on north Street as well. Doors also were always slamming. Scariest was late at night. One time I had got home from work. My mom and sister were already asleep. My father was out back having a cigarette. I went straight to my room after telling him goodnight. My room was right next to the front door. As soon as I had got into bed and turned out the light the front door slammed so hard it shook the house. My dad came running into my room and was yelling at me to stop slamming doors that I would wake up my mom and sister. I had told him I did not do anything I was in my bed the whole time. That was only the beginning. I will get to my scariest experience. Another time my parents and sister had went to Redding to get groceries. I got home from work in the afternoon while they were gone so I went to lay down for a little nap.
About twenty minutes after I laid down I heard the back door open then close then what sounded like a little kid running laughing through the house then opened the front door and slammed it shut like a kid had gone outside to play. I got up thinking oh maybe they got home from Redding early. I walked out there and nobody was there I looked outside and their car was not back. There were many more experiences like that. But the scariest one I went through (then moved out a week later) I went to bed around eleven or so and I was sound asleep when I felt like I was being lifted so I woke up and was being pulled out of bed...
I scream bloody murder not knowing what was happening. As soon as I started screaming it stopped but I was on the floor. I hurried up to turn the light on and nothing was there. I did not get much more sleep that night. The next morning I woke up and asked my parents why they did not come in when I scream last night (their room was right across from mine no way they could have not heard me) and they told me they did not hear anything last night. I then like I said before move d out a week later. Mccloud is a very weird place. As soon as you enter that town you get this almost like heavy feeling that something isn't right.
