Mentone, California Ghost Tales I'm 13 and my neighbor a few years ago saw a man in a black suit, black pants, black boots and a black hat in her house and disappeared.  My moms friend also saw the same person in her house which is a few houses up and saw the same man walking in her house and walked through a chimney.  I think this might be the owner of the orange groves in the 1800's or late 1900's that owned the land. Another one I saw was a girl in my room that looked down in front of my dresser and disappeared 7 seconds later. It didn't really freak me out that night because I was confused. But I was freaked the next day when I told my mom that's really interested in ghosts. Iif any of you in the neighborhood of Sunchase (right next to REV High school) seen this ghost, please post it on this website and let me know if I'm right or wrong. Things go on around here that can't be explained by science. People who have never stayed a day in this town will say to you it's lies, but if you are courageous enough to spend the night in Mentone, you may very well catch a glimpse of a ghost for yourself. These are some of the spooky things that have   happened here recently. The ghost of a physician with a bloody uniform has from time to time been seen clutching a human headbone up on the apex of Crafton Hills. If you listen to what the locals allege, this ghost likes startling foolhardy people who come looking for ghosts in Mentone. The spirit of a man grasping a bloody knife is every now and then perceived on the highest spot of one of the hills in the Crafton Hills very late at night sniveling. An armed forces outfit wandering around with no body in it has allegedly been seen on numerous instances next to Hot Springs at night gazing. In any case, it's a terrifying ghost that is better not upset. The spirit of a civil war soldier can once in a while be spotted in Centennial Orange Grove around midnight climbing a tree. Residents here who have seen this ghost assert this ghost could be a celebrated old days dweller of Mentone. The ghost of an awfully burned female has regularly been distinguished chucking chunks of concrete into the flowing water at Alder Creek on a dark night. A man who lives here argues that this ghost is the struggling soul of a long departed Mentone person who lived here.
