Reputedly, there have been sightings of a young girl floating or at the bottom of Oakland High's Live Oak Pool. One eye-witness said she was trying to say something to him. Other witnesses have heard the hand air blowers go on when no one is around them in the boys' changing room. Footsteps are also sometimes heard.

The ghost of a mail carrier came into sight bathing down at Sandy Beach at midnight. The spirit didn't appear to be troubled by the witnesses.
