We later confirmed that from 1968-1995 a total of 12 people died violently on this block. Murder, suicide, drug overdoses you name it and it happened there. We have just learned via Cal Berkeley that Pinole was built on and over 200 + Ohlone Native American Shellmounds (Burial Grounds). Which explains the strange bones/shells we found after digging in the backyard. Way to go developers and City of Pinole!! You did a great job at hiding this information

When I was 17 I was staying a night at my grandparents and dads house on Pinole Valley Rd across from the bridge. I was sleeping on the couch and got up to get a drink of water. As I walked into the kitchen there was a man with a white beard and mustache in blue overalls standing in the kitchen. It freaked me out so I turned around without getting water and went back to bed. A few days later I was in the basement and saw the same guy again. A week later my step mom told me that she had seen the same guy in the garage. My grand parents moved out 10 years ago and I always wondered who he was.
