Malaga cove is interesting late at night near the path that goes to Rat Beach (redondo and Torrance) across from Malaga cove jr. High School. In that area where the ravine is was an ancient site. Bones and steatite hooks have been found that predate the tongva tribe that occupied the l.
A. Basin since about 5,000 years ago. There is a subtle yet strong presence there of what I can only imagine to be a residue of the community that was once there thousands of years ago. It is worth investigating.
I have never read about this location in any of the many ghost/haunting books about l. A. This area has been occupied for a long time by pre~tongva tribes, the Spanish, Mexican ranch settlers up to the white settlers.
