Sacramento, California Ghost Tales

I lived in a 4 bedroom house on Hollyhurst Way, in South Sacramento between 2004 and 2007. I shared the house with my sister, her fiancee, my girlfriend, and my children. My sister only stayed living at the house up until late 2005, then moved out. From day 1 that me and my girlfriend, now wife, had moved in we started experiencing strange and unexplained things.

Our first experience was in the kitchen. We had three candle type object sitting on the back of the stove. My girlfriend, sister's fiancee, and I were making dinner, when the three candle objects flew off the stove and almost hit us. My sister's fiancee was skeptical because he doesn't believe in ghosts and tried to come up with some other explainations for why the objects flew off the stove, but couldn't. My sister and her fiancee would later claim before moving out that they were experiencing visual sightings of a unknown man in the master bedroom where they slept at night.

After my sister and fiancee moved out in 2005, my girlfriend and I were married, and had moved into the master bedroom. My step-daughter, who was 5 at the time, was claiming to see a man standing in her bedroom when she was trying to sleep. My eldest son who was 3 years old was also making the same claims. It was very hard to validate there claims, because we all know how kids can make up stories, especially if one child tells another of scary story.

By Mid 2006, my wife and I started to experience visual sightings of a person walking in the hallway, between the masterbedroom and the three additional bedrooms the children used. The visual experiences were quick, and all we would see is maybe a silouette of a person turning the corner, or going into a bedroom, but never made out a full body or saw any face. This type of experience would be on going for the remainder of the time were in the house.

In 2006, in addition to the ongoing visual experiences of the unknown silouette in the hallway turning corners and walking into bedrooms, there were two other main experiences that would help us both to decide to leave the house and move.

In the same year, I had bought my newlywed wife a new cellular phone with a camera. I worked at night, so she would frequently call, text, and send photos. One night while working, she had gone to bed after the children had finally fallen asleep. She was playing with her phone while laying in bed and accidently hit the photo button. Her phone was pointed to the end of the bed, the lights were off, and no one was in the room with her. When she looked to delete the accidental photo taken, what she saw really freaked her out. There was an image of a ghostly face, kinda foggy looking. I have never seen a ghost picture like this in real life until now. She showed me later when I got home, and even I felt creepy by it. Yes, we did save the photo, and I will upload it to show you all.

The last experience was in 2007, the year we would later move out. My wife and I were arguing in the doorway of the master bedroom. Being newlyweds, our marriage was rocky, so fights were regular. In the hallway were some toys that were left out by the children. As me and my wife were arguing this large toy that children played with was laying next to the door of my step-daughter's room, which was next to the door to the master bedroom. The toy, which was a relively medium size toy, flew from the floor, up into the air, and across the hallway toward us, and hit the wall. My wife and I needless to say were freaked out.

What ever was in the house, never hurt us, but always made sure that we knew of his presence in some way or another. It was always felt the the ghost was that of a man, maybe in his 40's or 50's. We never felt he was bad, but did feel scared anytime something happened. - Ghost picture submitted by J. Campos

I lived on payton in sacramento. My twin brother had most of the experiences in that house. His bedroom was across from the closet that had that ''haunted smell''. He would awaken to find walter (yes my brother named him) he would find walter standing over him! Scott had found a box in the haunted closet when we first moved in.
It has old keys and collector spoons in it and it was the creepiest thing! Walter would Tell him ''put the box back''. No he never put the box back. We had cold brushings on our arms in the hallway tapping underneath the floor(it had a wooden subfloor) one cabinet in the kitchen would always creak open.
We moved out and newcaster alan frio moved in. His daughter had the same room as Scott and walter would stand over her bed too.

Me and my grandma were watching TV when a voice said, ''Get out!'' this thing happened repeatedly. And only stopped when I asked it to. nobody else heard it and that's what freaked

me out. When I turned twelve I finally convinced my grandparents to move out even though it risked them moving three and a half hours away. Even then it was still worth it. I'm surprised it even got sold. The house looks creepy on the outside. I'm sure the people living there are regretting buying the house well thats my tale and it's all true I'll
never ever as long as I live forget that night at grandma's house.

I lived on Palmerson Dr. in Antelope, CA. I had the horrible incident of seeing my grandma have a heart attack and soon after pass away in the house. She was taken on life support since she was pronounced brain dead, and also my parents/family didn't wanna leave her in anyone's care. C'mon, its my fathers momma! So, a few months later, I started to see a shadow move or dart across the room-only out of the corner of my eye...IT WAS IN THE KITCHEN, DOWNSTAIRS BY THE SLIDING GLASS DOOR. AND ONLY WHEN I WAS ALONE. I had seen the shadow-which I will explain now...looked like a grey-white-black mass of cloud all swirled, almost like smoke, dark smoke, but tall like a person and the width of a person, just not shaped as one, never got a good look at IT, because when I saw it outta the corner of my eye-then looked for what ever was there...nothing was. One night my mom (who is an RN and who
tried to save her life that fateful night) and I were sitting downstairs together, it had just happened again n I told her what I am writing you...her eyes widened, mouth gaped-all she said is...ME TOO. Swear to god, everything I saw, she saw. We both know it was grandma. I think because she passed so fast-out of nowhere. She didn't know, or wasn't ready. It eventually stopped when I asked her to please stop scaring me. I was always scared. I was 16 yrs old n could not be alone in my own house. Since that happened, I'm a believer. When I hear stories, I don't discount them. Energy doesn't die, only bodies do. .
