Alright here's a radical story. I was going to college in San Diego and was meeting some new people. At parties I was invited out some people I barely knew said they had friends that were having a housewarming party. They were people I had never met. They said we were just going to sit around and play board games like Monopoly, so I went down to the house with them. they were a young couple in a new house and had no furniture except the dining room set, entertainment unit, and a bedroom furniture. As they played their board game, I elected not to play and just to watch.
From where I was standing I could see down the hallway, but they could not. All of a sudden I looked up, and there was a four-year-old girl standing with her back against the door looking at me square in the eye. I said ''hi sweetie hi.'' The group was confused with what I was doing. As I thought in my mind I was going to approach her, she turned and went into the room. The second bedroom which was completely empty with no furniture, not even hangers in the closet. They came down thinking I was up to something down in an empty bedroom. I told them that I saw a little girl standing right here. They told me maybe I should leave. This was autumn of 1987.
Three years later in the autumn of 1990 I lived down by the beach in Crown Point. They opened a new dance club right on the boardwalk call The Red Onion. I was tying one on and leaning my back against a pole when I heard people talking behind me. It was the young couple from the house who had been there three years and apparently had seen the apparition many times in that duration. They asked me ''you said you saw that girl.'' I told him I was angry because they asked me to leave that day. Ha ha ha, and I didn't talk to them. I just left and said ''I see ghosts all the time!''.

Okay, the story of the Whaley house is this. Whaley house in San Diego was one of the first settlements on the west coast and was attracting migrants and immigrants. A fellow named Jim from Canada came to town. They called him Yankee Jim. One day Mr. Jim took a row boat out on to mission bay. He paddled it around a little bit and then took it back to shore. Then there were two policemen waiting, and he was charged with stealing a boat. They brought him into court and was stunned to find that he was sentenced to death by hanging for stealing and returning a boat. A rowboat.
I built a gallows too short because I had never built one before.
Yankee Jim barely touched the ground so instead of his neck snapping, he slowly strangled to death which was a horribly nasty death. On the spot where the gallows is is supposedly where the Whaley house is, and this accounts for the spirit being in the house of judge Whaley. When I was there I saw and heard nothing, and I see ghosts often.
