Santa Maria, California Ghost Sightings - PAGE 14
(...continued from the previous page)|
There once was a home located down on Cook Street, it s an old brick house, it was owned by a family named Gamble. This house was haunted, the owner Mr. Gamble had died on the roof, he built the house. Behind the house was an old ghost town, a real one.
To find this house drive down Cook Street going toward Betteravia, it will be past the old 7-11. I don't know if it is still there I have not been back to Santa Maria for about 20 years but the 7-11 on Cook Street was just about two blocks from the old brick house. There were a set of two brick homes and the one I lived in was next door to some apartments.
You will hear walking on the roof. Moaning, doors open and close voices and even yelling. The main ghost is male and I always though it was the ghost of Mr Gamble.

Once it was me, my brother, and my mom in the garage. My mom was taking out the clothes from the washer and all of a sudden we here something and we all 3 turn around and see what was it and we clearly saw the tool box move. Then it stopped. Then again started. Since this day on we hear a lot of noises. One night my mom start hearing something; she was in bed it was like 3 am when she tried to move but couldn't. Something was holding her down, and then started praying in the name of the father and tried to make a cross sign with her fingers. All of a sudden it stopped. A couple of days later I had gone into my room; I was about to get my cell phone when I hear like if someone sat on my bed. I turn and it's nothing. Turn back and I feel someone's hand on my waist. I was so scared I ran to my sisters room as quick as I could and so I believe my house is haunted in Tangelwood.
