I have a follow-up for Victoria ln. In Sierra Madre. I wrote about my bizarre experiences living in that house in '72 for this site about 4 years ago. But whenever I checked back I didn't see it published so I figured this site had been abandoned or my story rejected.
But just a few weeks ago I stumbled onto it again and voila! Here it is--published--just the way I wrote it the way it happened! Thank you! The following-up is astonishing. It truly is! I wouldn't bother if it weren't.
It starts out with me taking some time off (last may 2011) to go up and visit an old friend I've known since High School for a few days who still lives in Altadena; and as Altadena is just a hop away from Sierra Madre and I was also interested in a few of the shops in town for doing some product exposure for the business I am trying to launch I went over there while my friend took care of some errands on the second day of my visit.|
But before I got to the business I thought about how my being there alone driving around with time to spare was the perfect (rare) opportunity to stop by 81 Victoria ln. And try once again to see if there would be anyone home who would speak to me and maybe shed some light on the strangeness that I encountered on that property 39 years ago! As I drove along the streets of Sierra Madre I planned it in my mind what I would say etc.
I rounded the corner onto Victoria ln. Parked my car down the street a ways from the house and walked back. There weren't any cars in front of the house but there was a popular status car in the driveway towards the back which meant it belonged to the tenant in the back unit.
As I approached the front porch of where I used to live I noticed there was a young cat on the porch on the short wall around it black and very wary of me. At first it backed away and then as I was knocking at the door it came closer like it wanted to get inside.
