A WWII GI was truly out of place in the northwest, but I think it might have been a veteran who in his afterlife was reliving his most exciting days as a soldier in WWII. I never saw him again. No one else ever saw him that I ever talked to. I checked with all the bikers in the area over the last seven years that

I could find in the lodges around here. And no one even knows any old man who might have been a veteran with a story to tell. Maybe he died decades ago,

I have lived in Smith River for years and been to the small cemetery lots of times at night. This time I was with a bunch of friends, and one of them had brought an old Ouija board. We sat down and started playing. It wasn't working, but we got freaked out and left. There's a small elementary school where we had all gone when we were kids. We were sitting on the floor, talking and listening to music when one of my friends made us all be quite. My friend pointed behind my brother to a crack between two building. I was sitting next to my brother, and we both thought he was joking. We said ''stop'' while laughing. Then he said ''no, seriously,'' and my other friend who was sitting next to Jim said ''no, really''. We turned around, and there was a white face looking through the crack at us. We stood up and started running. We stopped to grab my friends' stuff for a fence we went through, and we turned around to see a cat run into the crack. We never saw that cat again.
