Snelling, California Ghost Tales A ghost of a man would watch the children of the home where they lived come home from school from the front door window or upstairs bedroom window, the curtians would move when he would let go and that was how we could tell where he was and disappear as they walked up the sidewalk. You could also hear him walking up the stairs to the second floor. One time I was determined to prove it wasn't a ghost and stopped a Highway Patrolman and had him search the whole house even the attics. Of course he didn't find anyone and when my mom found out she was mad. She said they never bother us so don't worry about it. The old two story house on Montgomery Street was always called haunted by my friends growingup and that lead to some not willing to spend a night and if they did they usually heard the ghost walking up the  stairs to the second floor late at night and  they wouldn't come back again. Some people have even seen ghost on the front porch and the old barn in the back. The house was moved there in 1905.
