My husband and I are renting a small home on Spruce Lane in Sugarloaf. Often we can feel the floor or our bed vibrate for no reason that we could find. Things would come up missing. Some were found in places that neither of us put them. Some things are still missing, and every now and then items would just fall off the fridge or table when there's nothing to cause them to fall. So far we have not been scared or bothered. Until we can find a bigger home,
we live with our unseen 'housemate' who also loves to keep opening and shutting doors.

I remember visiting in Moonridge, California in 1968 and stayed overnight in a house my girlfriend's family had just purchased. While asleep upstairs with a cat on my bed, I saw the cat jump off the bed, and nudge the door open as it ran out. I looked up to where the only window in the room was and saw a dark shadow of a shrouded person standing, staring out, blocking some of the moonlight. Then it turned, walked toward the bed, stood over me, placed one hand on a bible on the chest of drawers next to me, and then proceeded to reach his other hand into my brain! The electricity I felt as this happened in my head was something I will never forget. I was speechless and afraid to move. Then the ghost turned, walked back to the window, and continued to look out of the window. I watched for about twenty more minutes, and I didn't want to frighten the parents or my girlfriend, so I kept it to myself until the following morning, when we met for breakfast.

A few months later they moved. I was in the service, and I never heard if they had any stories of their own to tell. I can only think this was a ghost of a person caring for a sick or old person who may have died there previously. At least I hope that is what it was. I could not see any face features, but it was semi-dark, even though it was a bright lightly cloudy full moon night. The shrouded figure was about six feet tall. The family had never had an experience before, or they refused to speak about it. It was funny how the conversation was very short about such an eerie happening. I thought that was odd at the time too. I had seen a dis-embodied hand while driving through the area on another night. When I asked the girl next to me what she thought she saw, and she saw exactly what I thought I saw, even though I didn't tell her what I had seen first. How it could have traveled from the driver' side to the passenger window and out was scary since I was driving at about 35 miles an hour. Nowhere else have I ever had an experience like either one of these, although I had used a Ouija board when I was a child and guessed the date and time my cousin would have a baby months later. There's more to life than what we can often explain!.
