Back in the early 90s I lived with my wife in the apartments on Lawrence and Homestead. We used to see a figure wearing a red shirt and overalls walk from the bedroom down the hall and through the front door. It was like a film playing over and over. I only saw it late at night in the corner of my eye, but my wife used to see it during the day. I always wondered if the people living there today see it as well.

I stayed in a hotel on Chesapeake Terrace in Sunnyvale, CA back in the late 2000s. It might have been 2009 or 2008. I stayed one night there on business, and immediately when I checked into the room, I thought I was seeing movement out of the corner of my eye. The movement seemed to be like a moth or something in the room, but there was no moth or other insect. Later on that evening I was on the phone with my ex-fiancÚ. The television, all by itself, switched to a pay-to-view adult channel. I grabbed the remote control and tried switching the television back to what I had been watching, the news or something, and the television switched to another pay-to-view channel. This happened again a third time, and I called the front desk for help. I told them that my television switched to movie channels that you have to pay to watch and that I didn't want to watch them and didn't want to get charged for them as my boss was paying for the room. The front desk advised me that my television was not showing up on their computer as watching any adult channels. I switched the channel, and it went back to the news.

Throughout the night, I kept getting the feeling that there was movement in the room, like someone was there. When I checked out very early the next morning, there was nobody around except for the front desk clerk who was a young college kid. I asked him point-blank if the hotel was haunted. He looked at me, and I told him about what was going on. He looked around and told me that a man had hanged himself in one of the rooms of the hotel a few months prior. He said that there was so much ghost activity there and that the kitchen staff didn't go into the kitchen area past a certain time of night. He told me that the hotel staff wasn't really encouraged to tell hotel guests this information.

On the corner of Mathilda and El Camino Real you can see a ghost truck if you go there at 3:12 in the morning. The truck shows up for a split second in the middle of the intersection. The truck crashed in the intersection about 25 years ago and has been seen ever since at the time of day it crashed which was 3:12 am.
