I have lived in Meadowview in Temecula for many years now and on two separate occasions I have seen the figure of a man dressed in an old fashioned kind of suit with boots and a large mustache walking alone in the meadow at night.
There is something very strange about his appearance and both times I've seen him he seems to vanish if I look away. I don't think there was much out near Meadowview prior to the mid 20th century. Perhaps he is a cowboy or vaquero who died while passing through?.

Comment by Angie: Hi. I have a friend whose father told her about all the stories of haunted Temecula and Winchester. There is a lot of history about the Native Americans here apparently and I am wondering if that may be where some of the local hauntings center.

Can anyone tell me anything about anything going on on Sweetshade Lane here in Temecula I get a sense of being watched when going out at night! I am going to go to the library and research my home but just want to know what is going on with the history of it! I was told I live with a lot of negative around our home what that means not sure! I was told we are not alone here and I am freaked out did they mean the neighborhood or my home alone? I don't know what to think....
