Tracy, California Ghost Tales | |

My family moved to Tracy California in 2002. It was a newer track house, you wouldn't have thought it was haunted. It was two stories and my sister and I each got our own rooms. I slept in my room only one night, the first night, and it was so unpleasant for unknown reasons that I started just sleeping in the living room. There was something just not right about the room that I didn't even go in there for long, just to get my clothes and change in the bathroom. It was always freezing in there, too, though it was just like my sister's room, which was always warm. The split-level stairs were also strangely unsettling, many people who came to the house felt woozy or uncomfortable on them, and you would trip on nothing, but since it was just stairs and a half bath we didn't use much, it didn't seem to be a problem. Once I was walking up them and just suddenly felt so nautiouse I actually had to throw up (Besides when I was a baby I can actually count the number of times I've thrown up on two hands, I never get sick). fine sleeping in the downstairs livingroom until one afternoon when I was down there reading a book for school. I felt the hair on the back of my neck prick up for no reason, and it made me look up to the stairs (which had a little cut-out so you could see the split-level landing from the downstairs livingroom). What I saw scared me so bad I ran out

of the house and waited in the front yard with my little sister for four and a half hours until my mom came home from work. It was a greenish-hue, not really a defined shape, slowly going up the stairs, stopping on the landing, and continuing up the second set of stairs to the second floor. I sat there stunned for just a second and ran and got my sister. I told my mother, but she dismissed it, it wasn't like we had the money to move, so from then on I slept in the same room as my sister. I never saw the apparition again, but I still had trouble going into my room. I was glad when we moved, having lived there for just almost a year. We moved into a hundred-and-something year old house and I never had any problems there with spirits (or whatever it was). .
