New sighting of a lady in black seen late at night at the front of the historic Olivas Adobe. It's a woman in a long black dress. The image is seen wearing a sort of black derby--its a mourning dress from the 1880s.
What ever paranormal events have happened there--continues. It's open every Saturday and Sunday--the ghosts do come out in daytime.

Comment by Jennifer: For a place of business it is good to have a visitor from the past. If all she does is appear she isn't hurting anyone. She helps visitors come to try and glimpse her.

I've been in my home for a few weeks now, and aside from the occasional bump in the night, I hadn't noticed anything unusual, until last night. I work for Ventura sewage, so needless to say I really look forward to my nightly shower. When I pulled up into my home, I saw that the light was on from my bathroom (the bathroom window faces the front of the house oddly enough. ) I shrugged it off thinking I must have left it on by accident. When I tried to open the front door, it felt as though it was jammed. I had to ram my shoulder into the door while turning the handle for it to finally open. Now for the freaky parts. I had heard very faint meowing (and I don't have a cat. )
I looked out into my backyard to see if maybe a neighbor's cat had escaped and wandered onto my property, but I saw no sign of a feline. I walked upstairs to take a shower and finally relax after a long day. However, as I ascended the meowing grew louder and louder. I ran into the bathroom, and when I shut the door the meowing stopped. I decided to forget about it. About five minutes into my shower, I heard scratching at the bathroom door. This really creeped me out, and not just because I'm a dog person.
My conclusion is that there's some kind of ghost cat living in my home. Is that a thing? I know all dogs go to heaven, and cats have nine lives, but do cats go anywhere after those nine lives are up? Or are they doomed to an eternity of wandering the Earth as a spirit? I thought this would be the best place to have my questions answered, so please comment on my post with answers or any similar experiences you have had.
