Visalia, California Ghost Sightings - PAGE 20
(...continued from the previous page)|
Over the years I have been in several theater productions in the area, many of which have taken place in the LJ Williams theater at Redwood. I've heard several stories about hauntings / deaths taking place there, one specifically that I'm curious about.
Apparently one of the upstairs dressing rooms is always locked because of a terrible event that happened in there long ago. A young girl named Cheryl hung herself in that very room after not
getting the role she wanted in a production.|
This sounds silly and may be untrue but I've had several friends confirm strange events taking place having
to do with this story. Anyone know anything about this? I can't seem to find anything online about it:/.|

Comment by Secret Detective7: Hi first of all I would like to start off by saying this statement or story of yours is... Correct. In the past few years, 3 years from now from what I have seen so far and had investigated I saw many strange things going on during the time period which in this case that situation.
It was said that a manager from that school has seen a ghost during his working hour. From what I have investigated and researched the theatre does not contain any heater or any way in which keeps the theatre warm.
The question is why? Maybe to prevent that stench of a dead body to be smelly? When I entered up the balcony, yes you can and will start to smell an awful and weird smell. Furthermore as you approach the ladies dressing room the smell gets stronger.
And notice it is colder as you enter in the room. Could it be because of the heater not being turned on? OR... Is it because of this ghost. We just don't know for sure let's just leave this story remain as a myth.
I will continue investigating this myth myself. Sincerely secret detective7.
Comment by anonymous: I totally believe this story, my brother used to have concerts there and boy does that place stink! Maybe your story about the girl is right, it is in downtown. Which it seems like it is very haunted and it the L.J. was built in the 30s so it's most likely to be haunted. And if the L. J. is haunted, Redwood probably is too. I wonder if these ghosts might be students that were killed in the Redwood fire in 1912. I doubt Cheryl's the only one.
